“Northern Glacier Trails” is a work in progress. To date, I have been able to take pictures and some video of trails in the Belly River area, Boulder Pass and the Highline trail to the loop and to Many Glacier. While I was photographing near the Belly River Ranger Station, I was treated to the presence of two beautiful cougars who were kind enough to pose for about 10 seconds so I could take their pictures. It is my habit to include photos of animals only on trails where I have actually seen them.
I intend to try to finish shooting the trails for “Northern Glacier Trails” as soon as possible and begin preparing the DVD shortly after that. I hope to begin putting the DVD together for publishing in the spring of 2017. The main problem with giving a date is that mother nature doesn’t always help out.
The photos in the gallery above were taken during my walks in Glacier National Park over the past couple of years. The Panorama to the right is Boulder Pass taken from Brown Pass towards the end of September of 2012. I can’t wait to get back to that area in order to take pictures of the “Hole in the Wall” campground with all the waterfalls working and the wildflowers in bloom.
It has been an objective of mine to photograph as many of the remaining glaciers in Glacier National Park as well. Towards this end, I want to include the Gunsight Pass trail in next year’s journeys with access to both Jackson and Sperry Glaciers
