Northern Glacier Trails

“Northern Glacier Trails” is a work in progress.  To date, I have been able to take pictures and some video of trails in the area of Glacier National Park which lies north of the “Going to the Sun” road which I have decided to refer to as being “Northern Glacier Trails”.  To date, I have collected a massive number of photos in the area and have organized them according to date and location taken, but have no plans to produce the photos to market them as I have done with the photos from Waterton Lakes National park.  That project has been published in the form of “Waterton Trails: A Video Trail Guide”  This DVD presentation showing the park as it existed prior to the Kenow fire of 2017.  

The northern section of Glacier National Park is immediately adjacent to Waterton National Park in Canada.  I am a Canadian and while I was growing up I had the privilege of spending a great amount of time in both of these wonderful parks and so the northern section of Glacier Park became as much a home to me as was Waterton park.  I spent many days hiking and fishing in both parks and became most familiar with the terrain and the organisms living there.  The slide show above has some of the pictures I have taken in Glacier park and the panorama below shows the approach to Boulder Pass from Brown pass in mid September of 2012.  Because of the beauty of September, I like to spend as much time in the mountains as is possible then.
